Polyethylene (PE) Regranulate

Polyethylene (PE) Regranulate
What It Is: Polyethylene, known for its high durability, is one of the most commonly produced plastics and comes in high-density (HDPE) and low-density (LDPE) forms. HDPE is rigid and strong, suitable for heavy-duty applications, while LDPE is more flexible and used for lightweight packaging. Both types offer excellent resistance to chemicals and moisture. Examples: Recycled HDPE is used in creating heavy-duty items such as plastic lumber for decking, pallets, and outdoor furniture like benches and tables. It’s also molded into new containers for household products, such as laundry detergent and motor oil bottles. LDPE, on the other hand, is recycled into items like garbage bags, shrink wraps, and new film products. Additionally, both types of PE are used in creating playground equipment, construction barriers, and products like watering
cans and garden planters.
How It’s Used: PE’s durability and chemical resistance make it suitable for various applications, from grocery bags and milk jugs to piping and industrial packaging. Recycling PE reduces plastic waste, allowing it to be repurposed into durable products across industries and helping lower the environmental impact of plastic waste.
